About Jodi O’Donnell-Ames
Wanting to harness hope, Jodi started a podcast: Gratitude to Latitude, Stories of Hope and Resilience, to gather and celebrate the people and stories who have fueled her purpose and passion for personal growth and healing.
When Jodi told me about her new book, Hope Givers, it took my breath away because if there’s one thing I’ve known about Jodi O’Donnell-Ames over the last 10 years, is that she is someone who always gives hope.
Hope Givers is the story of Jodi’s journey through caregiving, terminal illness, grief, and those hardest ubiquitous lessons of adult life. Jodi’s stories are complimented by thought leaders, professionals, and friends who joined her on her podcast whose wisdom and perspectives bring resources and comfort to our toughest times.
In 2001, Jodi O’Donnell-Ames lost her 36-year-old husband Kevin O’Donnell to ALS. That enormous loss was the catalyst for severe sadness and depression. During this time, showering or running to the bank felt challenging. But her “Hope Givers” never gave up on her. In her darkest days, Jodi was lifted by family and friends and eventually, she found her way back to a new normal that once again included dancing and laughter.
