Since 2015 the company has been led by nationally recognized experts in fall prevention, senior home safety, aging-in-place, universal design, home modifications, environmental assessment, and marketing to seniors and aging boomers. We provide training, consulting, certifications, product reviews, tools, resources, and support to businesses and organizations providing products and services to seniors and their adult children.

We are coming into a senior population explosion unprecedented in human history. We will need an army of educated and compassionate advocates to assist them with dignity and integrity. We have positioned ourselves as a training and consulting leader in the Aging in Place space with our Senior Home Safety Specialist® certification. My passion is to experience life fully and inspire others along the way. During the course of my 35-year entrepreneurial career in marketing, technology, and training, I’ve been known as a communicator and an innovator. Back in 1987, I was a founding partner in a successful “guerrilla” marketing consulting firm. Years later, I embarked on an extended sabbatical that led me to launch a travel and adventure magazine and website. That progressed my attention into video production and streaming media (pre-YouTube). In 2007 I was called to develop an online university and certification to help real estate agents engage internet-empowered consumers. Some wins, some losses, always passionate, always driven.

In 2011 (the year boomers began turning 65), I joined the aging services industry to empower seniors and family caregivers. In that position, I had an opportunity to work with nearly every type of professional, organization, association, franchise, and non-profit serving the senior community. I also had an opportunity to speak with hundreds of seniors and adult children over the years. I realized a top concern for many was, in fact, fall-related injuries. My research found senior fall statistics and devastating impact on older adults, their families, and the healthcare system.

In the summer of 2015, I consciously decided to make “helping older adults live safely and stay independent in their own homes”, my work and my mission and launched Age Safe® America.

Over the years, we effectively built brand equity while raising awareness for a comprehensive home safety assessment. In doing this, Age Safe America, LLC developed a unique market segment and certification all its own. Leveraging my knowledge of intellectual property, we have acquired multiple USPTO registered trademarks and a massive portfolio of relevant domains in several countries. In 2020 we negotiated a licensing agreement with a healthcare organization in Toronto to propel the Age Safe® mission and vision throughout Canada and are now targeting further international expansion. I am always open to discussing mutually beneficial partnerships. At the end of the day, I am an admitted beach bum, avid hiker, recovering workaholic, and loving husband and father.
