Shirley is a career dental hygienist and champion of Minimally Invasive dental hygiene. Her outlook is years ahead of the leading edge and has proven staying power. She is the recipient of the World Congress of Minimally Invasive Dentistry Leadership award, and  is an award-winning author, popular speaker and CareerFusion coach. Shirley is also the host of Cross Link Radio right here on Blog Talk Radio!

Shirley has written  a series of articles on oral care for Diabetes Self-Management.  This effort won her the prestigious APEX Award for writing excellence.  Today she has co-authored a best-selling book with Amy Nieves, The Purple Guide: Developing Your Clinical Dental Hygiene Career which now it its second edition. She has written chapters on sealants, and temporary fillings in the textbook Essentials of Dental Hygiene.

We all know the importance of good dental hygiene, but are we practicing it?  During our conversation on Tuesday, Shirley will educate us on Minimally Invasive Dental Hygiene and the importance of good dental hygiene, especially as we age.
